We have
strived to make this site accessible to
those who may be visually impaired or rely
on screen readers to access the site by
using relative font sizes and ensuring that
all images have an "alt tag" which
can be read by screen readers.
Increasing Font Size in
Internet Explorer
To increase the size of
the text on screen go to the 'View'
tab of Internet Explorer and choose 'Text
Size' then choose Larger
or Largest .
Increasing Font Size in
Firefox
In the Firefox browser
follow the same procedure by going to 'View'
tab and choosing 'Text Size' then
click on the 'Increase'
option. You can also use the keyboard
shortcut by holding down the Ctrl
and + keys at the same
time.
Turn off Style Sheets
It is also possible to
turn off the 'style sheets' that define
the layout of these web pages in both Internet
Explorer and Firefox, though as the text
is scalable on this site there should be
no reason to do so.
In Internet Explorer go
to 'Tools' then 'Internet
Options'. A menu will appear with
several tabs. On the first tab named 'General'
there is a button to the very bottom right
named 'Accessibility' -
click on this and it will open up another
menu called 'Accessibility'.
To turn off all the styling associated with
the web site tick the boxes on this menu
that turn off colours, text size and font
style.
In Firefox the process
is much easier. Go to the 'View' tab of
Firefox and choose 'Page Style'
then choose 'No Style'.
